How I work

1 / 3

Research before pixels.

Ride-alongs, workshop interviews and telemetry before the first frame. The problem is usually not the one in the brief.

2 / 3

Systems, not screens.

One token-based design system feeding cluster, centre display and companion app, so three teams ship one product.

3 / 3

Ship with engineers.

Figma to code with shared tokens, reviewed on real hardware, iterated against safety and latency constraints.

About

I'm Alex Firsov, a product designer in Stuttgart. For the last 15 years I've designed interfaces where mistakes are expensive: in-vehicle HMI, industrial dashboards, e-commerce for engineering products. I work end to end — research, flows, UI, design systems — and I'm used to hardware constraints, safety reviews and legacy stacks.
